OUTC is one of the largest and most active clubs on campus at Otago University. The club supports and facilitates outdoor pursuits far beyond tramping, including mountaineering, rock climbing and backcountry skiing. Membership not only gives members access to our free rental gear and organised trips, but also includes a ticket into a fantastic community of likeminded people.

New to outdoor pursuits? No worries! The club caters for all skill levels; We provide pathways for motivated individuals to develop their confidence and leadership skills to tackle whatever the backcountry might throw at them. And if that doesn't tickle your fancy, you could always just come to the Bog on a Tuesday at 6pm to hear about other peoples exploits and to meet some interesting people.
