Photo comp & AGM 2018

CALLING ALL PHOTOGRAPHY FANATICS

*(or simply ambitious amateurs, all welcome here)

Now's the time for all of you champions who love to take pictures (for the rest of us to enjoy) to shine! And win prizes!! Get involved in the annual OUTC photo competition which will be held at the AGM on Monday the 17th of September (7.30pm).

We want you to send us the most iconic pics of your epic adventures. Remember that a picture tells a thousand words, so credit will be given to those which look like they captured a moment with a story worth telling. We have a knowledgeable and experienced judge who also values composition, subject, and those photos with a bit of the zest and drama of NZ landscapes.

The categories are as follows:

1. Above the Bushline (ABL)

2. Below the Bushline (BBL)

3. Hut and Camp Life (HCL)

4. Native Flora and Fauna (NFF) (no people)

5. Outdoor Landscapes (OLS) (no people)

6. Uniquely OUTC (OUTC)

7. Rock Climbing Photos (RCP)

8. Short film (SF)- no more than 5 minutes

We know it's hard to choose, so you can submit up to 2 photos per category!!! Check your email for the link to drop your photos!

RULES:

  • All photos need to have been taken in NZ

  • All photos need to have been taken within the past year, so from 17/09/17 to now

  • Submit electronically into the linked file so you don't have to worry about the photo size

  • You are limited to 2 photos per category

  • The only digital manipulation permitted is cropping, sharpening and tonal or exposure adjustments (if it's not obvious, it's all good)

  • Panoramic stitched images are acceptable provided the only manipulation other than stitching is cropping, sharpening and tonal or exposure adjustments.

Closing date for entries will be 5pm Sunday 16th September. Judging will be announced at the OUTC AGM on Monday 17th September, which will be held at 7.30pm. This is also where we elect the new Exec for next year and there will be pizza + beer so zero excuses not to come join us!
